Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and opening our doors to everybody. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

Which class should I come to?

Everyone is welcome to join any class.  Kerri will guide you through each class and each move so that you feel informed to do yoga at a level your body needs.

I've never done yoga before, which class is for me?

If you want to be surrounded by people of similar abilities then Tuesday and Wednesday mornings are slower and more gentle, and more suited for beginners.

I have injuries I am dealing with, how will I get on?

Yoga is a great way to recover from injuries.  Always confirm with your doctor or other professionnal providers and let them know you plan to add yoga to your recovery programme.

I am doing a lot of sports, why add yoga?

Think of yoga as a suppliment to your other sporting activities.  Much like you take food suppliments, your body and your sport performances in all other areas will be enhanced.  Yoga compliments other activities by giving you an all round stretch and stability movement hour.

I want a work out, but you spend ten minutes lying down, it sounds like a waste of time...

Yes we do lie down.  It is a fundamental part of yoga.  One of the main benefits of yoga is that you discover the connection between your mind and body.

It is a courageous thing to value delving into your mind-body connection enough to pay for figuring out how your mind and body work together to give you the life you live.

Will I get strong with yoga?

Yoga is partly a callesthenics workout.  We hold poses in the pause, with the count of breath, knowing that our breath and active softening allows space for finding and building new strength.

I don't do breathwork.

We do a short breathwork/pranayama session at the end of the poses/asana part of the hour.  We lye down and Kerri takes you though a breathwork session to slow down your energy, and bring your vagus nerve, and body, back to rest and digest calm.
